Steel Valley rips Burgettstown

-

On the first play in a game against Burgettstown, Steel Valley wide receiver Derek Taylor took the opening kickoff 73 yards for a touchdown. Unfortunately for Burgettstown, it would only get worse as Taylor’s touchdown helped set the stage for a 41-0 Steel Valley romp Saturday night.

Taylor’s touchdown sparked a 21-point first quarter for the Ironmen (2- 0) that put them in control for the rest of the game. Patrick O’Malley finished 12-of-22 passing for 206 yards, two touchdown passes, as well as a rushing touchdown.

In its first two games, Steel Valley has outscored its opponents, 76-7.
