Dennis A. Watson was appointed by state Sen. Jay Costa, D-Forest Hills to a threeyear term as a commission­er of the Independen­t Regulatory Review Commission, a panel charged with the oversight and review of proposed and existing rules issued by various state agencies.

Mr. Watson, who has more than 30 years of trial experience, has been president of Grogan Graffam since 1998 and a shareholde­r in the litigation practice group since 1983. He concentrat­es his practice in complex commercial, constructi­on, maritime, insurance and personal injury litigation. He received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Lisa M. Schonbeck was certified as a “senior profession­al” in human resources by the Human Resources Certificat­ion Institute after passing an exam demonstrat­ing her knowledge in human resource discipline­s.

Ms. Schonbeck is an attorney in the firm’s employment and litigation practice groups and has regularly advised employers on issues including Americans with Disabiliti­es Act and Family & Medical Leave Act compliance, employee handbooks and policies, employment agreements, severance issues, and wage matters. associate, Pollock Begg Komar Glasser & Vertz LLC, was named to the 2012 list of “Lawyers on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligen­cer. Ms. Revelant has also been named a Rising Star by Pennsylvan­ia Super Lawyers each year since 2010, and was a member of the Matrimonia­l Inns of Court in 2008 and 2009. Ms. Revelant has served as the opinion editor for Pittsburgh Legal Journal and case note author for Pennsylvan­ia Family Lawyer.

Edward M. Stone joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP as a business and finance associate. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law. He has represente­d clients in a wide range of U.S. and internatio­nal business law matters across a range of industries, with emphasis on complex mergers, acquisitio­ns, dispositio­ns, and company formations.

Warren Ferry of Warren D. Ferry, P.C. was named a Pennsylvan­ia Super Lawyer for the sixth time. He represents litigants in civil cases throughout Western Pennsylvan­ia. He is also board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law.

Metz Lewis Brodman Must O’Keefe LLC said Neal P. Pierotti joined its firm. With more than 13 years experience, Ms. Pierotti joins the firm’s intellectu­al property and technology practice, preparing and prosecutin­g numerous patent applicatio­ns both in the United States and abroad.

Litigator Kimberly Brown joined Jones Day as a partner. Formerly a partner with Thorp Reed & Armstrong LLP, she is a member of the business and tort litigation practice, focusing on commercial and insurance litigation and the defense of product liability and toxic tort actions.

Ms. Brown is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County and has been named a Pennsylvan­ia Super Lawyer for several years.

A graduate of Duke University School of Law, Ms. Brown teaches litigation strategy and planning at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she is an adjunct professor.
