Sto-rox, Williams hand Northgate first loss

Lenny Williams accounted for 440 of 470 yards of total offense to help Sto-Rox hold off previously unbeaten and No. 4 Northgate, 35-31, at home in a non-conference shootout. Williams tossed touchdown passes to four different receivers.

The Vikings (4-1), who had to overcome 17 penalties, led, 28-13, at halftime before Northgate (4-1) rallied with three second-half touchdowns.

Clintell Gillaspie’s third touchdown of the game broke a 21-21 tie and helped Monessen (4-1, 4-1) knock off No. 3 Bishop Canevin (41, 4-1) at Dormont Stadium in the Black Hills Conference.

South Side Beaver (0-5, 0-5).

Khari Hicks tossed five touchdown passes to lift Imani Christian (4-1, 4-1) to a Black Hills Conference win at Carlynton (1-4, 1-4).

Sean Dugan rushed for 241 yards and all three of the game’s touchdowns to help the host Dynamos (32, 3-1) shut out Leechburg (1-4, 1-3) in the Eastern Conference.
