The No. 3 Panthers (5-0, 5-0) raced to a 34-0 halftime lead and cruised to victory as six players scored in the win against the Highlanders (1-4, 1-4) as in a Southeastern Conference game.

Nick Tancredi scored two touchdowns on runs of 1 and 3 yards, while Steve Mackowick, Phil Saracco, Mac Pope, and Gabe Boyd each rushed for a touchdown. Mike McGuire returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown.

Baldwin averted a shutout when Gary Jackson caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Douglas Altavilla.
