Big Macs roll vs. Fox Chapel in Class AAA
Last season, the CanonMcMillan boys soccer team entered the WPIAL Class AAA tournament as the No. 13 seed, but beat a higher seed in four consecutive games to win the district title.
The Big Macs are two wins away from doing it again,
Josh Kruczek scored midway through the first half and Christian Snatcho had a clean sheet as 11th-seeded Canon-McMillan (16-2-2) knocked off No. 3 Fox Chapel (16-2), 1-0, in the WPIAL Class AAA quarterfinals at North Allegheny.
“In the first half, we played great, scored and controlled the game,” said CanonMcMillan coach Larry Fingers.
“In the second half, Fox Chapel really pressed and we showed a lot of heart defensively.”
