Rays 2, Orioles 0: Alex Colome and four relievers combined on a four-hitter, and Tampa Bay beat Baltimore in a relocated home game for the Orioles. The three-game series was moved from Camden Yards to Tropicana Field following the unrest caused by the death of Freddie Gray in Baltimore.

Cubs 1, Brewers 0: Jon Lester (12) pitched seven scoreless innings for his first victory with Chicago and Addison Russell hit his first career home run in the Cubs’ victory against visiting Milwaukee. Lester allowed just three hits, struck out four and walked one.

Mets 4, Nationals 0: Matt Harvey (5-0) outpitched Max Scherzer, barely, and New York backed its ace with a lot of fancy fielding before breaking away from visiting Washington.

Marlins 4, Phillies 3: Giancarlo Stanton scored from first base on Marcell Ozuna’s double in the ninth, and Miami beat visiting Philadelph­ia. It was Ozuna’s third double and fourth hit of the night.

Braves 4, Reds 3: Mike Foltynewic­z won his first career start and drove in two runs with his first career hit to help Atlanta beat visiting Cincinnati. The Braves snapped a three-game losing streak.

Twins 1, White Sox 0: Kyle Gibson pitched eight strong innings as Minnesota scored on a wild pitch to beat visiting Chicago. Torii Hunter and Kennys Vargas each had two hits for Minnesota.

Astros 4, Mariners 3: Evan Gattis, Jake Marisnick and George Springer homered to lead host Houston past visiting Seattle. Josh Fields (1-0) pitched 1 1⁄3 innings for the win.

Royals 4, Tigers 1: Chris Young (20) pitched five no-hit innings and visiting Detroit didn’t break through with a hit until the eighth in a loss in Kansas City.

Indians 9, Blue Jays 4: Michael Brantley hit a two-run homer and Brett Hayes added a three-run shot, leading host Cleveland to a win against Toronto. Josh Donaldson and Jason Kipnis hit home runs in the first.

Athletics 7, Rangers 5: Mark Canha started and ended Oakland’s seven-run rally in the eighth as Athletics won in Texas. Canha led off the inning with a home run and later in the inning drove in a run with a single.
