Astros 11, Mariners 4: Houston matched its longest winning streak in nine years by posting their ninth consecutiv­e victory by beating visiting Seattle behind Collin McHugh (4-0) and a lot of home-run support.

Brewers 6, Cubs 1: Mike Fiers (13) struck out 12 in six innings and Ryan Braun homered as Milwaukee won in Chicago. Fiers and three relievers combined for 18 strikeouts.

Marlins 7, Phillies 0: Martin Prado homered and drove in four runs, leading Dan Haren (3-1) and Miami past visiting Philadelph­ia. The Marlins won for ninth time in 10 games.

Nationals 1, Mets 0: Gio Gonzalez (2-2) struck out nine in seven crisp innings outpitchin­g Jonathon Niese (2-2) to lead visiting Washington past New York. Michael Taylor drove in the only run with an infield single.

Reds 8, Braves 4: Jay Bruce powered two long triples and Zack Cozart had three hits to lead visiting Cincinnati to a victory against Atlanta.

Giants 5, Angels 4: Buster Posey and Brandon Crawford homered and Tim Hudson (1-2) pitched into the ninth as San Francisco held on to beat visiting Los Angeles.

Padres 4, Rockies 2: Wil Myers went 1 for 3 with an RBI and a run scored to lift San Diego past visiting Colorado. Brandon Morrow (2-0) went six innings for the win.

Tigers 2, Royals 1: David Price (31) took a shutout into the ninth before finishing with a five-hitter as Detroit won in Kansas City. Lorenzo Cain homered in the ninth to spoil Price’s bid for his second career shutout.

Orioles 4, Rays 0: Miguel Gonzalez pitched four-hit ball into the eighth and Steve Pearce drove in two runs as Baltimore won at Tampa Bay.

Yankees 4, Red Sox 2: Brett Gardner drove in three runs and Nathan Eovaldi (2-0) pitched well into the seventh as visiting New York beat Boston for its 12th win in 15 games.

Blue Jays 11, Indians 4: Jose Bautista drove in four runs and visiting Toronto kept Cy Young winner Corey Kluber (0-4) winless on the season with a victory against Cleveland.

Twins 5, White Sox 3: Trevor Plouffe and Torii Hunter homered, helping Ricky Nolasco (1-1) return to the rotation with a win as Minnesota beat Chicago at Target Field.
