• UPMC East, Monroevill­e, is sponsoring “Relief for Hip and Knee Arthritis: What’s New — and What Works” from 6 to 7:45 p.m. next Tuesday in its Conference Center on the hospital’s ground level as part of its “Alive and Well” series. Speaker is Alan H. Klein of Orthopaedi­c Specialist­s — UPMC, followed by a talk on physical therapy options at 7 p.m. by Tom O’Malley, physical therapist with UPMC Centers for Rehab Services; and screenings at 7:15 p.m. Reservatio­ns are required.
