Pittsburgh-based ModCloth is making moves to not only curate fashionable clothes for a range of body types but also to make them.

The brand recently unveiled looks from its first inhouse label, which is a mix of whimsical and classic dresses and separates, many priced at less than $100. The You X ModCloth label is inspired by the site’s shoppers and aims to stay true to ModCloth’s aesthetic with “darling details and dazzling designs,” the brand states on its website. Shop the collection at www.modcloth.com/shop/ ourdesigners/modcloth.

ModCloth also is expanding the ways it targets shoppers with brick-and-mortar shops. Its first store in San Francisco opened July 30 at 222 Grant Ave., Union Square. It features ModCloth fashions and accessories that people can stop in and try on for size or purchase on the spot. Or they can book an appointment to guarantee a dressing room and support from a ModCloth stylist. It’s open 10 a.m.-8:30 p.m. through Aug. 17.
