Cubs 4, Cardinals 3: Anthony Rizzo’s bases-loaded walk in the 11th inning lifted host Chicago to a win against St. Louis.

Brewers 11, Braves 3: Matt Garza (4-4) won his third start in a row and host Milwaukee backed him with three home runs. Garza allowed two runs in six innings.

Diamondbac­ks 9, Mets 0: Lastplace Arizona rattled Noah Syndergaar­d with four stolen bases, then broke open the game in a six-run sixth that included Chris Owings’ bases-loaded triple to complete a three-game sweep.

Rockies 12, Rangers 9: Pinchhitte­r Carlos Gonzalez delivered a bases-clearing double that capped a five-run rally in the eighth and visiting Colorado held on to beat Texas.

Yankees 4, Red Sox 2: Alex Rodriguez drove in a run with a basesloade­d dribbler, capping a three-run rally in the eighth that lifted New York and sent the booed designated hitter out of Boston with a win. Rodriguez is set to play his final game for the Yankees tonight at home against Tampa Bay. The designated hitter, 41, will then be released and become an adviser and instructor for the club.

Orioles 9, Athletics 6: Mark Trumbo hit a grand slam for his major league-leading 32nd homer and drove in five runs as visiting Baltimore avoided a four-game sweep. The Orioles had been shut out for 17 consecutiv­e innings and lost their lead in the AL East following three one-run losses in a row.

Astros 15, Twins 7; Astros 10, Twins 2: Major league batting leader Jose Altuve had four hits, drove in three runs and scored three, sending visiting Houston past Minnesota in the first game of a split doublehead­er. Altuve has eight hits in his last nine at-bats, raising his average to .366. Evan Gattis homered and had four RBIs as the Astros swept the doublehead­er.

Royals 2, White Sox 1: Danny Duffy pitched his first complete game to win his eighth consecutiv­e decision as host Kansas City beat Chicago. Duffy (9-1) has not lost since June 6.

Indians 14, Angels 4: Mike Napoli was 4 for 4 with a homer and four RBIs as host Cleveland routed Los Angeles.
