‘Drag Race’ throws in new twist

-

be a good idea.

Phi Phi ran afoul of the judges after the ladies presented a talent show (she was not in the best voice), and it was the same with Adore Delano. For Coco Montrese, a stab at retro dance glamour fell well short of Ginger Rogers territory.

And so lip-sync winner Roxxxy Andrews had to choose, with Coco rightfully packing up her makeup bag. In another twist, however, RuPaul announced to Coco in private that she’s not done yet, and there is a chance she could return for revenge.

To paraphrase Ginger Minj earlier in the episode, go ahead and throw away the receipt, honey. We’re buying it.

• NBC is going all-in with some Snapchat experiments. “The Voice on Snapchat” debuted Monday, and four more Monday-only episodes will be available under that social media platform’s Discover banner.

“This interactive collaboration provides our passionate fan base a chance to directly participate and become part of our ‘Voice’ family,” said Paul Telegdy, president of NBC Entertainment’s alternative and reality group.

More than 20,000 video submissions were received within a two-day window earlier this month. Producers and coaches then chose three for each of the four judges to view. Every Monday until the Sept. 19 mini finale, they’ll pick a singer.

Snapchat subscribers will then vote for an overall winner. Alicia Keys went first this week; next Monday, it’s Adam Levine’s turn.

• Potato, potahto, no matter how you slice it — and he did it quite well, incidentally — it was a good week for Slippery Rock native Nathan Barnhouse on Fox’s “MasterChef” (Wednesdays). In a two-hour episode, Mr. Barnhouse did a nice job of butchering a huge salmon, then rolled into the second challenge with a deft production of french fries.

Two chefs were eliminated this week: Long Island handyman Terry Mueller and Queens firefighter Eric Howard.

Next week: The final seven accept a tag team challenge. The promo shows Mr. Barnhouse going down to the floor, although viewers must wait to see why.

• There are good names for new TV shows and bad names. “Stove Tots” is a very, very bad name.

“Dance Moms” production company Collins Avenue will air the new series on FYI in 2017. Press materialspromisea“docu-style” look at kids in the kitchen.

“Each episode will feature a new group of culinary wunderkinds, along with their overbearing parents, as they prepare recipes, search for inspiration and deal with the pressures of competition,” according to a release.

If you want to see kids and parents with the knives out, TLC’s “Toddlers & Tiaras” returned Wednesday.
