Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Wanted: Disgruntled employees

-

How do you feel about your job? Your boss? Your benefits?

You could just complain or you could nominate your employer to be part of the Top Workplaces survey process, even if you just want to nudge management into making a few changes.

Every year, the Post-Gazette teams up with WorkplaceDynamics, a Philadelphia-based employee survey firm, to determine the region’s Top Workplaces. Any employee from the CEO on down may nominate a company.

There is no cost to participate and — here’s the key — every organization that takes part will receive feedback on its workplace. Last year, almost 20,000 employees at Pittsburgharea organizations that employed more than 32,000 people filled out surveys.

Nominations are open to all employers, including nonprofits and government, that have at least 50 workers in the Greater Pittsburgh area, including Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

To get more information and see a sample of the survey, go to www.workplacedynamics.

Top performers will be recognized in a special Post-Gazette publication in August. There will also be a PG-sponsored special event in honor of all the winners.

To nominate an organization, go to www.postgazette.com/nominate or call 412428-8020.

The deadline for nominations is Feb. 17.
