So fresh and so clean

Penn Hills townhouse is a bright, low-maintenance dream

- By Rosa Colucci

Sometimes you just know when you find the right house. For Tammy Sadler, she clearly remembers looking at 615 Newport Drive.

“When I walked in here for the first time, I knew that this was the perfect house for me.”

Since 2009, she has loved the convenient location in Penn Hills off Interstate 376 East and the low maintenance of living in the Newport Square Townhouses plan. So when she told her friends that she was going to sell the two bedroom, 2½bath townhouse, the reaction was the same.

“My friends said “I can’t believe you are going to move!”

But as one love story is coming to an end, another is beginning. Tammy’s family is growing and she needs a place with one more bedroom.

Her beautiful end unit is listed for $159,900 (MLS#1259751) with Staci Rullo of Northwood Realty, (412-2424100 or www.northwood.com) It is open by appointment.

The outside has a neutral color palette and cheery red garage door and front entry door. The garage holds one car. The end unit is surrounded by plenty of well-groomed foliage and landscaping.

Inside, a small entry area and hall give a nice landing zone. A ceramic tile floor leads into the main living space. The great room combination is painted in a nice sky blue. The kitchen has white farmhouse doors, white Corian counters and a double-wide, extra tall pantry. An angled kitchen island seats four.

The open family room features a large corner fireplace with a gas insert.
