Moon company wins $13.2M contract to treat drinking wells
Calgon Carbon said it has been awarded a $13.2 million contract from California Water Service to treat more than 30 contaminated drinking water wells. The Moon company will supply granular activated carbon and related equipment to treat 1,2,3 Trichloropropane, a chlorinated hydrocarbon that causes cancer in laboratory animals. The contaminant is not regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
