Wine & Boots Bash

-

Guests kicked up their cowboy boots and had a rootin’ tootin’ good time at the Wine & Boots Bash on Thursday night to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. The Twentieth Century Club in Oakland was transformed into the Wild West as more than 350 partygoers enjoyed various bands such as The Stickers — which paid a special tribute to Steelers chairman and owner Dan Rooney— before headliner Michael Ray took to the stage. In between sets, guests nibbled on chicken and waffles, BBQ meatballs, and shrimp and grits, washing it down with Ole Smoky Moonshine before indulging in treats from Prantl’s Bakery. The event, produced by Y108-FM, supported St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

“Y108 has supported St. Jude and their fight against childhood cancer for decades through our Y108 St. Jude Radiothon and other activities,” said Michael Young, senior vice president and Pittsburgh market manager for CBS radio Pittsburgh. “We’re proud to expand our relationship with this new event. The Nashville Country music community is deeply wired into St. Jude, and we’re happy to connect Pittsburgh into that! It’s a cause that Michael Ray is personally passionate about, and we stand with him.”
