Crash victim identified as Lincoln Place man


Authoritie­s have identified the person killed in a multivehic­le crash Sunday night in West Mifflin as a 29year-old Lincoln Place man.

Jordan Celovsky was pronounced dead at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, 16 minutes after the accident on Route 837/River Road near a railroad crossing. Four other people were taken to hospitals.

Investigat­ors said they believe that a Cadillac sedan that was traveling south crossed the center line and collided with a Kia sedan traveling in the opposite direction. Mr. Celovsky and another person were in the Cadillac. A woman and her two children were in the Kia.

Allegheny County Police said that when emergency units arrived, they found Mr. Celovsky on the side of the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the Kia’s occupants were treated and released from a hospital. The other occupant of the Cadillac also was treated and released.

West Mifflin police are investigat­ing.
