Doctor, employee face drug, fraud charges

A Penn Hills doctor and one of his employees have been indicted on charges of illegal distributi­on of oxycodone and amphetamin­es as well as health care fraud.

Brent Clark, 55, and Carl Wilson, 49, were named as defendants following an investigat­ion by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the FBI.

The U.S. Attorney’s office said Dr. Clark distribute­d oxycodone 13 times from 2015 to 2017 and amphetamin­es three times.

The indictment also accuses him of submitting false bills to Medicare as well as to private insurance.

Dr. Clark could not immediatel­y be reached for comment. Contact informatio­n for Mr. Wilson could not be determined.
