Ross man, 77, killed when struck by vehicle

A 77-year-old Ross man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon as he was walking along the 200 block of Hillendale Road.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office said William Hollis was struck about 12:45 p.m. and was pronounced dead at 3:25 p.m. at Allegheny General Hospital.

No other details were available. The Ross Township Police Department is investigating.
