United Way names first female board chair


Karen Larrimer is the new board chair at United Way of Southweste­rn Pennsylvan­ia. She is the first woman to hold the position at the charity which distribute­s funds to regional nonprofits that help people in need. Ms. Larrimer, 54, is executive vice president, head of retail banking and chief customer officer at PNC Financial Services Group. She will have a two-year term as board chair and succeeds Jack Barbour, executive chairman of law firm Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney.
