Boil advisory extended for Aspinwall water customers

The state Department of Environmental Protection has ordered an Aspinwall boil-water advisory be extended until Friday afternoon.

The advisory was prompted after maintenance work on a pump caused low or no water pressure to about half of the borough’s 1,200 water customers of the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority.

Under the advisory, residents should boil water for drinking and cooking.
