Weekend closures slated for Liberty Bridge, Tunnel

The Liberty Bridge will be closed in both directions and the Liberty Tunnel will be closed inbound from 7 p.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.

In addition, there will be traffic restrictions Friday night. The bridge will be reduced to one lane inbound from 8 p.m. Friday until noon Saturday and one lane outbound from two hours after the Eric Church concert at PPG Paints Arena until noon Saturday.

The outbound tunnel and McArdle Roadway will remain open throughout the weekend.

Crews for Joseph B. Fay Co. will be reconstructing the deck, removing a parapet and resetting a barrier as part of the $80 million bridge rehabilitation project.
