Ford City man dies while working in Shadyside
Authorities are investigating the death of a Ford City man who was working Thursday at a Shadyside home.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office said Dakota Marshall, 21, died while working at a residence in the 400 block of Morewood Avenue. The cause and manner of Mr. Marshall’s death had not been determined.
A spokeswoman with the city’s Bureau of Public Safety said Mr. Marshall was “moving planks when he was exposed to electricity.”
She said Mr. Marshall was pronounced dead at UPMC Shadyside.
Christopher Robinson, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Heath Administration’s director for its Pittsburgh office, said OSHA also was investigating.
