Gas prices rise in Pittsburgh region

Pittsburgh-area drivers saw the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline go up 5.5 cents in the past week, to hit $2.72 a gallon, according to price tracking website GasBuddy, which surveys about 700 gas stations in the region daily.
