Smash Mouth and Easton Corbin will headline Regatta

Popular ‘90s band Smash Mouth and country singer Easton Corbin will headline the 40th annual EQT Pittsburgh Three RiversRega­tta Aug. 4-6 in Point State Park.

Corbin, best known for the hits “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll with It,” will play the opening night, Aug. 4. Smash Mouth, which will play Aug. 5, brings such hits as “All-Star,” Walk’in on the Sun” and “Can’t Get Enough of You Baby.”

The performanc­es begin at 8 p.m., and are free and open to the public, but fans can sit closer with $25 front-stage pit seats.

For the PITT OHIO Lighted Boat Parade on Aug. 5 at 9:30 p.m., boat owners are encouraged to deck out their boats in honor of their favorite Pittsburgh celebrity or symbol. A panel of judges will help select the best boat in three categories: best decoration­s,most lights and crowd favorite.

The winner of the best decorated boat will receive $1,000 for a charity of his or her choice. The winners for most lights and crowd favorite will receive $500 for a charityof their choice.

Also, the ALCOSAN 3 Rivers Proud Anything that Floats Race will return this year, challengin­g Pittsburgh­ers to build homemade boats out of household materials—no motors, inflatable rafts, pool toys, canoes, kayaks or commercial­ly designed crafts allowed. The teams that wins fastest vessel, “greenest” vessel and most creative boat design will receive up to $2,500 for a charity of theirchoic­e.
