Indians topple WPIAL champion North Allegheny

-

Peters Township made sure there would be no comebacks this time as Bryce Gabelhart had a goal and two assists in a 3-1 victory against North Allegheny (20-3-1) in a Class 4A quarterfinal game Saturday at Fox Chapel High School.

North Allegheny used a late rally to defeat the Indians Nov. 2 for the WPIAL title.

With the win, Peters Township (19-1-1) advances to take on District 3 champion Hempfield in the semifinals.

The Indians won the Class 3A title in 2014, but this is the furthest they’ve advanced in Class 4A.
