Missouri coach gets two-year contract extension through 2022-23

Missouri coach Barry Odom was given a twoyear contract extension through the 2022-23 season.

Odom’s salary will remain at $2.35 million annually for the additional two years, though he also was given a ticket-based Notebook incentive — with 20 percent of any home revenue above $11.7 million going to the second-year coach.

Odom originally was given a five-year contract when he was hired in 2015, and he’s 11-13 in two seasons at Missouri. The Tigers started 1-5 this season before closing with six consecutiv­e wins to reach the Texas Bowl, where they’ll face Texas Dec. 27.

Pitt

Pitt offensive lineman Jaryd Jones-Smith accepted an invitation to play in the 93rd East- West Shrine Game. The game will be held Jan. 20 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Mount Union

Josh Petruccell­i and Jawanza Evans-Morris ran for two touchdowns each and second-seeded Mount Union rallied from 25 points down in the second half to defeat No. 3 Wisconsin-Oshkosh, 43-40, when the Titans missed a 46-yard field goal attempt on the final play of the D-III semifinal in Oshkosh, Wis. The Purple Raiders (14-0), in the semifinals for the 23rd year in a row, go after their 13th title Friday in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl in Salem, Va. They face topseeded Mary Hardin-Baylor (13-0).
