BEIRUT— Thousands of Hezbollah supporters joined a fiery rally in Beirut on Monday as the movement’s leader urged Palestinia­ns to rise up after President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital.

Demonstrat­ors packed the streets of Beirut’s southern suburbs in a carefully managed march.

Crowds chanted “Death to America, death to Israel!” and waved Palestinia­n and Hezbollah flags.

Israel’s military, meanwhile, reported that two rockets were fired at its territory from the Gaza Strip on Monday, the third volley since Mr. Trump said last week that he would break with decades of U.S. foreign policy to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

China expects refugees

BEIJING — A Chinese county along the border with North Korea is constructi­ng refugee camps intended to house thousands of migrants fleeing a possible crisis on the Korean Peninsula, according to an internal document that appears to have been leaked from China’s main stateowned telecommun­ications company.

Three villages in Changbai County and two cities in the northeaste­rn border province of Jilin, have been designated for the camps, according to the document from China Mobile. The document appeared last week on Weibo, a microblogg­ing site.

Court frees Saakashvil­i

KIEV, Ukraine — A court rejected a request by prosecutor­s to place Mikheil Saakashvil­i — the ex-Georgian leader-turned Ukrainian opposition politician — under house arrest as he fights accusation­s he plotted to overthrow the government.

Mr. Saakashvil­i, who denies accepting funding from an exiled Ukrainian businessma­n in a bid to seize power, greeted hundreds of his allies gathered outside the courthouse after an almosteigh­t-hour hearing Monday in the Ukrainian capital.
