Three Agway stores will show their customer appreciation on Saturday with free refreshments, coupons and door prizes during the 2017 Purina Check-R-Board Days.
The stores are at 125 McAleer Road, Mount Nebo, 400 Main St., Imperial, and 1025 State Route 519, Eighty Four, Washington County.
Kitten adoptions
The Petco Adoption Event is Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Robinson location, hosted by Merlin’s Safe Haven Cat Rescue, which operates in the Carnegie area.

Westmoreland fund drive
The Animal Friends of Westmoreland have secured a $10,000 grant from an anonymous donor who will match donations made to the Holiday Fund Drive through New Year’s Eve.

Since the shelter opened in 2009, more than 2,500 animals have been rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed. It has purchased a 62-acre farm and hope to expand its mission to help horses, donkeys, cows and other farm animals.
