McKeesport homicide

Allegheny County police are investigat­ing the shooting death of a 21-year-old man in McKeesport Saturday morning.

County police Lt. Andrew Schurman said in a news release that the county’s 911 center received a call at 11:43 a.m. that a man was unresponsi­ve in the street in the 600 block of Spring Street.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Mahlik Terin Cash of McKeesport.

Police said that a preliminar­y examinatio­n indicates Mr. Cash had been shot multiple times and was shot in the head at close range. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Police said the part of Spring Street where Mr. Cahs was found has been blocked to vehicle traffic for about seven years.

Police ask anyone with informatio­n about the shooting to call them at 1833-255-8477.

AMonongahe­la woman died early Saturday in a head-on crash on Route 837 in Carroll Township.

Washington County Coroner S. Timothy Warco said Laura L. Erickson, 55, was traveling north near Donora Road when her vehicle was struck by another vehicle traveling south at 1:25 a.m.

State police in Armstrong County released the identities Saturday morning of two men who died in a head-on crash in Rural Valley on Friday afternoon.

State police at Kittanning said T. Lowell Dean, 86, of Dayton was driving on Route 85 about 4:45 p.m. when his pickup truck crossed the center line and struck a car driven by Jacob Adam Iseman, 32, of Ford City. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

State police are asking anyone who saw the crash to contact them at 724-5432011.
