What happened to ‘The Good Doctor’ on ABC?

-

when he died, his character had two daughters? One was Kaley Cuoco, who has become a big star. Who is and what has become of the other actor?

— BILL, SCOTT Rob: The 2002-05 ABC sitcom was “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter,” later shortened to just “8 Simple Rules.”

Ms. Cuoco went on to play Penny on “The Big Bang Theory.”

The other daughter was played by actress Amy Davidson, who appears to have mostly done guest spots in the years since.

Q: Can you tell me how the show “Younger” on TVLand does in the ratings? — MARILYN, CECIL Rob: In its most recent season it did its best ever. It seemed as if every week I received a press release from TV Land touting the show’s newly set record ratings.

Your best bet for tracking cable show ratings is tvseriesfinale.com, which has ratings for just about every show on TV, including “Younger.”

Q: I’ve noticed that WPXI touts that it is the only news station that covers the news in all of the areas, not just Downtown like other stations do. Who are they talking about? I watch all the three stations and they all cover news from all areas including other counties. — RON, EDGEWOOD Rob: Perhaps we have found the true definition of “fake news:” local news channel promos!

The WPXI claim Ron describes seems like an attempted dig at KDKA-TV, which has its headquarters in the Golden Triangle. But the claim is obviously false. Of course all the local TV stations cover news in Pittsburgh and the surrounding counties.
