and said he was on good terms with his brother.
“The brothers never had a problem with each other,” Mr. Santicola said. “The fact that they were all sleeping with this girl, it might shock the sensibilities of some, but it didn’t shock the sensibilities of those involved.”
He said Mr. Jeter withheld some information from police — particularly who he was with during the homicide — because he doesn’t trust the police department, and said Mr. Jeter is glad to see investigators looking at the Watkins’ Facebook accounts.
“He maintains his innocence 100 percent,” Mr. Santicola said.
Relatives at Mr. Jeter’s home address declined to comment Tuesday.
It’s not the first time a member of the family has captured headlines. In March 2017, Bolton was a key witness when New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis — an Aliquippa High School star and University of Pittsburgh standout — was accused of assaulting two men on the South Side on Feb. 11.
The charges against Mr. Revis were dismissed after Bolton testified during a preliminary hearing that he punched the men, not Mr. Revis. Bolton, who did not respond to requests for comment Tuesday, said he was Mr. Revis’ childhood friend and that he believed Mr. Revis was being assaulted.
Bolton knocked out two men with one punch each, he testified. He was not charged in that case, but he has served time in federal prison for drug dealing.
