Bullets were fired from one moving vehicle into another early Sunday on the Parkway East, injuring a 19year-old who later was found to be in possession of 16 stamp bags of heroin.

State police at Moon said Ramonte Scott of Pittsburgh suffered gunshot wounds to his thigh and calf. His passenger, Shammond Sewell, 19, was not injured.

Police said Mr. Scott was westbound on Interstate 376 between the Oakland and Second Avenue exits when an unknown vehicle driven by an unidentified person pulled along the left side of Mr. Scott’s 2014 Toyota sedan and fired multiple shots.

Police said Mr. Scott exited the roadway at Second Avenue and the assailant continued on the parkway.

Mr. Scott drove to UPMC Mercy for treatment. Police did not indicate whether drug charges have been filed, but there was no indication of such a filing in online court documents.

Police are investigating the incident as an attempted homicide. Saturday in the reservoir.

Mr. Dubics was a recent Ligonier Valley High School graduate, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s news partner, KDKA-TV.
