Humane issues
The next meeting of Humane Action Pittsburgh is 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Humane Animal Rescue’s Homewood shelter, 6926 Hamilton Ave., 15208.
The guest speaker is Pittsburgh City Council member Erika Strassburger. The agenda includes an update on HAP’s “no plastic please” campaign and updates on animal issues.
Goat yoga
Have U Herd Goatscaping and Jen’s Yoga Zen have scheduled autumn goat yoga sessions at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 and Oct. 20 at Potential Farm in Collier.
Tickets are $20, and part of the proceeds benefit local animal rescues — FurKid Rescue in Bethel Park in September and Angel Ridge Animal Rescue in Washington in October.

The cost is $65 for surgery, rabies vaccine and other services. Appointments must be made, and everyone must pay in advance on PayPal or mail payment to 430 N. State St., Clairton 15025.
Birds, chocolate and wine
“Flutters and Flights” at the National Aviary, North Side, is Sept. 12, 6-10 p.m.
Visit birds in their habitats and sample chocolate and coffee that has been grown and harvested in a bird-friendly way. There will be light hors d’oeuvres, craft beer, wine, music and a cash bar.
