began looking for a new mid-Atlantic venue. Pittsburgh became an attractive option.

“They came to us,” Ms. Stout said. “They heard about us and this track, and about the facilities we had.”

After MotoAmerica sent a scout team to check out the complex, “They just said ‘wow,’” Ms. Stout said.

Bill Hohman, 59, of Gibsonia said he took part in club racing at the track before the track was updated. At the track on Sunday, Mr. Hohman said the venue “is unbelievable. They’re really trying to raise it to a world standard.”

Several riders echoed that sentiment and said Pittsburgh is already one of the top destinations in the series’ 10-city tour.

Josh Herrin, who rides in the series’ top class, Motul Superbike, won the first race Saturday and finished third Sunday. Not surprisingly, Mr. Herrin is a fan of PittRace.

“We all have favorite tracks in North America, and it’s like they took a section out of 10 different tracks. It’s fun.”

Some fans said they would like more access to certain parts of the track, but said they enjoyed the experience.

“This track is phenomenal,” said Harold Hall, 35, of Mt. Lebanon, who was at the races with two of his three daughters, Claire, 7, and Emily, 5.

He appreciated that the event offered plenty of offtrack activities for families.

“There’s a lot of space or the kids to play and things for them to do,” said Mr. Hall, as Claire quickly stated her favorite: “The bouncy house!”

Mr. Herrin said MotoAmerica suggested that the series visit Pittsburgh twice a year.

“The best part is the spectators,” he said. “Everyone’s really knowledgeable. And it’s incredible when you come out of that first turn and see a hillside full of people. It really makes you want to push.” at Eden Hall. Space at Eden Hall was redesigned to accommodate the Hance students, and schedules will be designed so that those students still can have library, physical education, computers, art and music classes this week, the district said.

Since learning about the mold issues, district officials said they have since taken steps to remove it from the building. The air conditioning was shut off, dehumidifiers and air purifiers were placed in each room, surfaces were scrubbed multiple times and the insulation for the chilled water line was removed. Air samples were collected and analyzed early Saturday morning, district officials said.

“Although there is clear improvement, the follow-up test results continue to show slightly elevated levels
