The Longest Table

- — Patricia Sheridan

The Blessing Board in Oakmont hosted more than 400 guests in its warehouse during a sold-out event Friday night. It was the third annual The Longest Table dinner to benefit the Joseph A. Massaro, Jr. Alzheimer Research Fund. Carol Kinkela founded the benefit with her friend Carol Massaro. “This is a record-breaking attendance for us, and it is so wonderful to have the community support our cause,” said Ms. Kinkela, owner of Carabella, a dress shop in Oakmont. The party began with a reception and music by Etta Cox and Kenny Blake. WTAE-TV’s Mike Clark welcomed everyone, and the picnic box dinner from All the Best catering was served. Bottles of wine lined the tables for consumption, which made for a convivial gathering. Guests were treated to a performance by young opera sensation Colin Aikins. “This event just warms my heart to see everyone coming together for such a great cause,” added Ms. Kinkela.
