Bethel Park water line main break repaired

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - - Local News -

Repairs were competed Friday night on a broken water line in Bethel Park that left about 60 Pennsylvania American Water Co. customers with low or no water pressure.

The water main break, reported before dawn Friday on Library Road/state Route 88, led to a partial closure of the thoroughfare between Phillippi and Long avenues.

The break happened on a 12-inch line, according to the water company. Early Friday, Library Road was closed in both directions for several hours.

Nearby Neil Armstrong Middle School canceled classes Friday as a result of the break, the Bethel Park School District said on its website. The district’s other schools followed their normal schedules.
