Battle leads Orange to upset of Duke

Tyus Battle scored a season-high 32 points, and Syracuse used its 2-3 zone defense to rattle No. 1 Duke in overtime as the Orange pulled off the upset, 95-91.

Paschal Chukwu added 10 points and a career-high 18 rebounds while Elijah Hughes added 20 points. Frank Howard finished with 16 for the Orange (125, 3-1 ACC).

Syracuse held Duke (142, 3-1) to 2-of-8 shooting in overtime and to just 21 percent shooting from 3-point range while earning its second victory at Cameron Indoor Stadium in three years.

Nebraska

Glynn Watson Jr. scored 15 points and Isaac Copeland added 14 as visiting Nebraska upset No. 25 Indiana, 66-51. The Cornhusker­s (13-4, 3-3 Big Ten) have won two in a row overall and three consecutiv­e in the series. They never trailed against the Hoosiers (12-5, 3-3).

Michigan State

Carly Santoro scored a season-high 25 points to reach the 1,000-career plateau in points and Ohio State (6-8, 2-3 Big Ten) beat the visiting No. 17 Michigan State women (12-4, 2-3) 65-55.

Iowa

Megan Gustafson had 34 points and 13 rebounds for her nation-leading 15th double-double of the season and visiting No. 17 Iowa (12-4, 3-2 Big Ten) beat No. 18 Minnesota (12-4, 1-4), 81-63. It was Gustafson’s 70th career double-double.

Robert Morris

Esther Castedo led five Robert Morris players in double figures with 17 points as the Colonials (7-8, 4-0 NEC) routed host LIU Brooklyn (1-14, 0-4), 89-37. Isabella Posset scored 14, Honoka Ikematsu and Nia Adams added 11 for the Colonials.
