Second chance seems likely for Hunt
Teams are interested in Kareem Hunt, ESPN reported Sunday, citing a league source who expects Hunt will be on sidelines “sooner rather than later.”
Last week, the Bears floated the idea of bringing Hunt aboard the franchise.
“It’s a tough situation. I wanted to see … making sure that he’s OK but understanding, too, the situation that happened is unfortunate for everybody,” said Bears coach Matt Nagy, who worked with Hunt in Kansas City last season.
“I was raised that way, to give guys second chances, not third chances.”
Hunt, 23, has been attending counseling since breaking his silence in December about an altercation captured by hotel cameras.
The February footage, published by TMZ in November, shows Hunt hitting a woman. After its release, Kansas City cut Hunt, who remains on the commissioner’s exempt list and would need to be reinstated before joining a team.
“I regret the entire thing, everything,” Hunt said.
NFL.com reports the NFL is investigating the video, as well as two other violent incidents involving Hunt.
Jaguars
Jacksonville signed safety Jarrod Wilson to a threeyear contract. He started the last two games this season and has appeared in 47 games with 21 tackles, two pass break-ups and a forced fumble. The Jaguars also hired Tim Walton as cornerbacks coach and promoted Joe Danna to safeties coach.

Patriots teammates Trey Flowers and Trent Brown were each fined $20,054 Saturday for hits in the divisional-round win against the Chargers. Flowers’ fine was for a hit on Philip Rivers and Brown was fined for an unnecessary roughness flag.
Rams cornerback Marcus Peters was also fined, $10,026, for shoving Amari Cooper out of bounds in Los Angeles’ win over Dallas.
