Suspects shoot at police, but no charges filed yet
Pittsburgh police say they have questioned several suspects but no charges have been filed after two people fired shots at officers in the West End on Friday night.
Police said two people fired shots at officers as multiple occupants ran from a vehicle officers tried to stop on Broadhead Fording Road near Prospect Avenue around 11:30 p.m. The shots missed and officers pursued the shooters while the vehicle drove away.
After officers believed the suspects ran into a home in the 400 block of Prospect, they called SWAT officers to the scene and established a perimeter. But no suspects were found there.
Other officers then found the vehicle at another home in the 1500 block of Clarkton Street and SWAT officers went there. Numerous suspects were located in that house and taken in for questioning, but no arrests have been made.
