Mi­ami beats Pitt in ACC

Beatrice Mom­premier scored 23 points with 13 re­bounds and No. 25 Mi­ami (21-5, 9-2) kept Pitt win­less in the ACC with a 65-51 vic­tory Sun­day.

Danielle Gar­ven scored 13 points for the Pan­thers (9-16, 0-11), who made only 2 of 19 3-point at­tempts.

Mi­ami, which was com­ing off a win against de­fend­ing na­tional cham­pion Notre Dame, has won the past five meet­ings with Pitt and 10 of the past 11.

Pitt is still look­ing for its first win since de­feat­ing Duquesne on Dec. 29.

Other women’s games

Duquesne 85, Day­ton 57: Juli­jana Vo­ji­novic scored a sea­son-high 26 points and Kadri-Ann Lass added 22 as Duquesne (12-11, 6-4 At­lantic 10) ended its three game los­ing streak with a vic­tory against vis­it­ing Day­ton (12-9, 7-3). Vo­ji­novic fin­ished with a ca­reer-high six 3-point­ers.

Michi­gan 66, Penn State 62: Se­nior Teniya Page scored 17 points to move into fifth place on Penn State’s ca­reer scor­ing list in the loss to Michi­gan (16-9, 7-6 Big Ten). Ju­nior Siyeh Fra­zier chipped in 12 for Penn State (10-13, 3-9).
