Traffic watch
Highlights from major construction projects around Pittsburgh and surrounding areas this week
1. Forbes Avenue/Oakland/Squirrel Hill:
Singlelane restrictions in both directions between South Neville Street and Devon Road 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through early April, with weekend work possible.
2. West Carson Street:
Overnight singlelane restrictions as needed between the Smithfield Street and Fort Pitt bridges through late June. (Also, pedestrian improvements begin Monday on East Carson Street.)
3. Boulevard of the Allies/Uptown:
Watch for inbound lane closure to resume between Miltenberger and Marion streets. The outbound lane restriction between Marion and Van Braam Street near UPMC Mercy remains in place.
4. Parkway North/Interstate 279:
The East North Avenue Bridge over the Parkway North on the North Side is closed through May 8.
5. Parkway East/Interstate 376:
Reduced to a single lane in each direction in various locations between the Fort Pitt Bridge and Squirrel Hill Tunnel 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Thursday night.
6. Fleming Park Bridge/ Neville, Stowe:
Closed through the end of June. Detour uses Route 51, Interstate 79 and Grand Avenue.
7. Route 50/South Fayette, Cecil: Single-lane restriction between Route 978 and Reissing Road through late April. 8. Rachel Carson (Ninth Street) Bridge/Downtown:
Closed through summer 2020 for rehabilitation.
9. Monongahela Incline:
Closed indefinitely because of damage from a broken water line.
10. Saw Mill Run Boulevard/Duquesne Heights:
Long-term lane restrictions in both directions at the Shaler Street Bridge overpass through early May.
11. Route 88/Bethel Park:
Shoulder restrictions 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through early April between Kings School and Logan roads.
12. Route 28/East General Robinson Street/ North Side:
Two of the three northbound lanes closed continuously between Anderson Street and the ramp from northbound I-279 through mid-June. River Avenue is closed at the intersection with East General Robinson.
13. Route 30/North Fayette:
Single-lane alternating traffic round-theclock between Sedlock Lane and Church Road through late March.
14. Elizabeth Street/ Dravosburg:
Closed through mid-May for landslide repairs.
15. Noblestown Road Bridge/Collier:
Single-lane closures in each direction 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday in preparation for long-term restrictions.
16. Route 28/Allegheny Valley:
Single-lane restrictions during daylight offpeak and overnight hours in East Deer, Harrison, Tarentum and Brackenridge through late May. Also weekend lane restrictions as needed.
17. Elizabeth Bridge: Reduced to a single lane in each direction through the fall. 18. McKees Rocks Bridge:
Lane restrictions 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Saturday.
