HOW WILL IT END? FANS HAVE THEORIES

How will ‘Game of Thrones’ end? Everyone has a theory

- By Maria Sciullo

Watching the series finale of “Game of Thrones” on Sunday won’t be much fun. More likely there’ll be blood, betrayal, more fire and mayhem.

Yet, if the internet is any indication, we are having a ball predicting who ultimately has claim to the Iron Throne. A word of caution: spoilers ahead. An additional word of caution: Anyone who isn’t familiar with “GoT” can just go read a book or something because none of this will make sense.

The pictures are nice, though, especially online. Check out the pictures.

“If they make Bran the King of Westeros as reports and speculation would have us believe, I will die screaming like Catelyn during the Red Wedding,” posted Ro-dditt on Reddit.

Vegas oddsmakers are taking their cues from internet rumors that a leaked finale script has Bran Stark, aka The Three-Eyed Raven, ruling the Seven Kingdoms when the considerable dust has settled in King’s Landing. What this means is super unclear.

Is Bran evil? Has he been manipulating events all along, including luring the Night King to his death in the godswood? Or is he a benevolent magical force? By tradition, he isn’t anywhere near next in line for the Iron Throne. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss — often referred to as “D&D” in the forums — surely must know that would not be a popular choice.

Another Reddit user, Loopyllama, claims Bran attacked King’s Landing after the surrender bells rang, and Daenerys was just along for the ride, because Bran warged into the dragon and will take the fall for the carnage. Loopyllama also believes Bran is the Lord of Light, who we know brought Jon back to life, and therefore can control Jon if he sits the throne.

In a Sydney Morning Herald survey, a reader aptly named “Meow Meow” likes Ser Pounce’s chances. Others in various countries vouched for Hot Pie, including Pittsburgh Post-Gazette graphic artist Maura Losch. During her nine-day binge of the entire first seven seasons in April, she shouted at the television: “Hot Pie! My one true king!”

Hot Pie was the subject of an enigmatic but pretty hilarious comment from the Herald.

“Hot Pie will pull a Bradbury. Everyone else will kill each other, then when it’s over he’ll pop out of his bakery and win over the [few] remaining citizens of King’s Landing.”

Some history: Australia’s Steven Bradbury was by far the slowest speedskater in the 1,000-meter gold medal race at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. When the gold medal race leaders collided going into the final turn, he was so far behind the wreck, he simply strolled past for the win.

Nah, it’s not going to be Hot Pie, nor will it be the Brothers Clegane, Sandor (“The Hound”) and Gregor (“The Mountain”). But last week’s episode did play out a much-anticipated smackdown between the brothers. The Cleganebowl.

It was particularly brutal and ended with both falling from a high tower to (maybe) their deaths.

Oddsmakers at oddsshark.com also like Sansa Stark. As of midweek, she was at +400. A tried-and-true ruler, Sansa is the picture of stability in this crazy game. A common theme among fans is that she and former husband Tyrion Lannister might
