Police issue warrant in Jefferson Hills shooting

Police issued a warrant Sunday for a man who they believe shot a woman in Jefferson Hills.

Andrew Roberts, 26, of Clairton, is sought in the shooting of a 21-year-old woman in a mobile home park in the 3100 block of Stilley Street, Allegheny County police said.

The woman suffered a single gunshot wound to the shoulder and was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The shooting occurred at 12:05 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Police are seeking to arrest Mr. Roberts on aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, and firearms violations.

According to police, a second man was arrested and charged in the incident. Gary Kovach is awaiting arraignment on charges of obstruction and hindering, according to police.
