Pitt men’s basketball gets 6-foot-9 graduate transfer

-

With five months until the start of the 2019-20 season, there was nothing the Pitt men’s basketball team needed more than size.

On Thursday, they took a step toward bettering that situation.

Eric Hamilton, a 6-foot-9 forward who played the 2018-19 season at UNC Greensboro, announced on Twitter that he has committed to the Panthers, giving them some muchneeded depth in their frontcourt.

As a graduate transfer, he immediately is eligible and has one season of eligibility.

As a junior last season for a UNC Greensboro team that finished 29-7, 250-pound Hamilton appeared in all 36 games, starting in six of them, and averaged 6.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
