33 indicted on drug trafficking and weapons counts
Federal agents and police swept across the region Wednesday morning and began arresting 33 people indicted on federal drug trafficking and weapons counts.
The defendants were named in three separate but related indictments unsealed Wednesday morning following an investigation by the FBI; Drug Enforcement Administration; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; state attorney general’s office; state police; and local police. It was funded through the federal Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force program.
The first indictment names these defendants:
Howard McFadden, 29, of Turtle Creek; James Wells, 31, of Braddock; Donald Singleton, 47, of Pittsburgh; Richard Coto-Wheat, 26, of Duquesne; Jaymare Jackson, 29, of Braddock; Dorian Boyd, 24, of Braddock; Delbert Pate, 26, of Duquesne; Michael Rose, 27, of Pittsburgh; Reginald Brown, 29, of East Pittsburgh; Kreg Williams, 29, of Duquesne; Keenan Williams, 21, of Duquesne; Rand Wolford, 31, of Braddock; Marcel Sewell, 58, of Braddock; Talen Holmes, 21, of Pittsburgh; Rodney Dennard, 51, of Pittsburgh; Bernard Wilkins, 56, of Irwin; William Kalna, 50, of WestNewton; Justin Law, 30, of Wilkinsburg; Tyrone Roilton, 28, of Braddock; Lisamarie Ross, 35, of New Alexandria; Travis Moore, 26, of Pittsburgh; Thomas Dwyer, 42, of Homestead; Gregory Luptak, 51, of North Huntington; Paula DeBaker, 55, of Braddock; and Philip Matey, 53, of North Braddock.
The grand jury said the suspects conspired to distribute heroin, cocaine and crack in 2018 and this year.
A second indictment names Chadlin Leavy, 30, of Pittsburgh; Marvin Porter, 48, of Allison Park; Damien Franklin, 26, of Verona; and Larry Dandridge, 24, of Monroeville.
The grand jury said they conspired to distribute heroin and cocaine in April and May of this year.
The third indictment names Eric Vanderslice, 39, of Phoenixville, Chester County; Wayne Barker, 61, of West Mifflin; William Barker, 63, of Upper St. Clair; Jared Eck, 28, of Pittsburgh; and Chadlin Leavy, 30, of Pittsburgh. They are accused of conspiracy to distribute more than 100 kilos of marijuana in April and May of this year.
Among forfeiture allegations, prosecutors are moving to forfeit $518,000 in cash, including $469,000 from Mr. Vanderslice.
