3 indicted on pharmacy robbery charges

-

Three Ohio men have been indicted in federal court in Pittsburgh on charges related to the armed robberies of six pharmacies in Western Pennsylvania and Ohio.

A seven-count indictment unsealed Wednesday names Abdulrahman Abdelaziz Jamea, 21; Arthur Lee Worthy II, 21; and Mohammed Jibril, 19. All are from Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

The U.S. attorney’s office said the trio robbed pharmacies from Sept. 27, 2018, to May 10 of this year.

The pharmacies hit were: CVS Pharmacy, Erie Street, Edinboro; Rite Aid Pharmacy, Third Street, Beaver; CVS Pharmacy, Centre Avenue, Pittsburgh; Rite Aid Pharmacy, Greene Street, Marietta, Ohio; CVS Pharmacy, Pine Avenue, Erie; and Rite Aid Pharmacy, Chartiers Street, Bridgeville.

The three are accused of using a gun — possibly a BB gun or pellet gun — in the robberies and striking a pharmacist with it in the Ohio holdup.

The grand jury said they stole cash and drugs, including oxycodone, methadone, Adderall and other medicines. In addition to robbery counts, they are charged with possession of the drugs with intent to distribute.
