#Party With A Purpose: On Wednesday night, more than 120 sponsors and friends of Pressley Ridge’s Ice Cream Fundae gathered at the Hotel Monaco, Downtown, to enjoy libations as a thank you for their continued support at a preview of Ice Cream Fundae on Aug. 11 at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium in Highland Park. Guests enjoyed magic by Christophe­r Welch, a silent auction and signature cocktails made with Graeter’s Ice Cream. Want to make one yourself? Try a “Dreamsicle” made with coconut rum, vanilla- infused Grand Marnier, pineapple juice, and Graeter’s Orange & Cream Ice Cream. Also tantalizin­g taste buds was the Salted Caramel cocktail infused with Salt Wash Bourbon, brown- butter banana reduction and Graeter’s Salted Caramel Ice Cream. “We are so grateful for the tremendous community support we have received over the past 25 years of Ice Cream Fundae, said Susanne Cole, president and CEO of Pressley Ridge. “The funds raised allow us to continue providing services for children and families who face significan­t challenges. The VIP event is our chance to honor and thank the sponsors and donors who support Ice Cream Fundae and our mission to strengthen communitie­s.” Each year, nearly 8,000 families find the strength to succeed through Pressley Ridge’s 70- plus innovative programs — all of which share a common goal of establishi­ng stable families and lifelong relationsh­ips.
