AEC Group said AEC Group Inc.’s Technology Solutions Division will be acquired by AEC Group, LLC. AEC Group, LLC will continue to operate under the same management team, sales team, engineerin­g team and back office team. New majority owner Danielle Mizia will now serve as president.

Awards & Honors

The National Science Foundation has awarded Giannis (Yanni) Mpourmpaki­s, assistant professor of chemical engineerin­g at the University of Pittsburgh’s Swanson School of Engineerin­g, $354,954 to continue research into a method of creating olefins: the dehydrogen­ation of alkanes on metal oxides. Mr. Mpourmpaki­s’ team will work with the Rapid Manufactur­ing Institute and Pitt’s Center for Research Computing from September 2019 through August 2022.
