Police have taken into custody three men they said were found with a suspected McKeesport homicide victim’s car.

South Strabane police Thursday spotted a car sought by Allegheny County police detectives in connection with a woman whose body was found that morning in the woods just off a trail in Renziehausen Park in McKeesport.

Investigators believe the woman, clad in a yellow sundress, showed signs of being strangled and said her body might have been moved.

Authorities in Allegheny County were scheduled to conduct an autopsy Friday.

The woman was identified by the medical examiner’s office as Tameka Dallas, 43, of Monroeville. Criminal complaints against the men identified Ms. Dallas as the owner of the car.

Video surveillance showed a 2007 Chevrolet Impala arriving at Renziehausen Park around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday near where the woman’s body was found.

On Thursday evening, South Strabane police found the vehicle in a Walmart parking lot at the Trinity Point Shopping Center. Around 7:25 p.m. they arrested Clyde Cox, 27, of Northview Heights, who was standing next to the car. He was joined by Daron Parks, 26, of Bridgeville. Police said Mr. Parks had the keys.

Cox was charged with receiving stolen property. A criminal complaint said Allegheny County detectives “stated they had video and or still images of the defendant with and around the vehicle throughout the day.”

Mr. Parks, who police say falsely gave his name as

Davaughn, was charged with the same crime. Police said in a criminal complaint he told them “he had been in the same vehicle.”

“Unbeknownst to [police], there was a third male connected with the car who was in or near the store. That male avoided the police and eventually made his way back to the greater Pittsburgh area,” Allegheny County police said.

Investigators said they tracked him from the Walmart to Downtown Pittsburgh, where they lost him. They said he might have been trying to get to McKeesport.

Friday evening, that man — Ramonta Yancey, 26, who has ties to McKeesport and the East End of Pittsburgh — turned himself in to McKeesport police.

Cox and Mr. Parks were arraigned and are being held in the Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond each.
