University Prep rips Allderdice by 34 points

-

University Prep witnessed a completely different Allderdice football team Friday night than it did a year ago.

The top-ranked University Prep Panthers outlasted the Dragons at Cupples Stadium, 40-6, to remain undefeated and atop of the league standings. Last season, though, Allderdice toppled University Prep, 35-14, before eventually winning its second consecutive league championship.

Michael Snowden, an Akron recruit, scored three rushing touchdowns for the Panthers (5-0, 3-0), while Rashad Murray chipped in by scoring a pair of defensive touchdowns. His first was a 12-yard fumble return in the third quarter before he returned another fumble 8 yards in the fourth quarter.

University Prep quarterback Kenny Wilson completed 9 of 23 passes for 130 yards.

Allderdice (0-5, 0-2) lone score came in the fourth quarter when Dajaun Williams scored on an 82yard touchdown run.
